Lecture “Where is Artificial Intelligence Heading?” for ZSTiO "Mechanik" in Tarnowskie Góry
On September 19, at ZSTiO “Mechanik” in Tarnowskie Góry, a lecture entitled “Where is Artificial Intelligence Heading?” was delivered by our colleague, Prof. Marcin Blachnik from the Faculty of Materials Engineering at the Silesian University of Technology in Katowice.
During his talk, the Professor presented, among other topics:

the history of artificial intelligence,
-
the principles behind neural networks and models such as ChatGPT,
-
examples of areas where AI is most widely applied,
-
domains where its use is not yet justified,
-
the limitations and challenges related to the development of this technology.
The event was attended by three classes of IT technician students specializing in programming and two classes specializing in computer science. The lecture hall was filled to capacity, and the presentation drew great interest from the students.
The lecture was organized as part of the project “Green Technologies in Materials Engineering” carried out by the Silesian University of Technology.
It was an inspiring meeting that encouraged reflection on the future of artificial intelligence.
