Participation of faculty employees in the Invent Arena fair in Třinec, Czech Republic
The innovation fair Invent Arena 2024 took place in Třinec, Czech Republic on 12-13.06.2024. The event was organised by the Czech Metallurgical Society. More than 50 exhibitors from all over the world presented their inventions in and around the WERK ARENA in Třinec. The exhibition was visited by more than 5,000 visitors over the two days - entrepreneurs, students, professionals and the general public. Companies mainly from the Czech Republic, Poland and Europe presented new technologies and competed in a competition for the best innovations. The public could see practical demonstrations of science in action. The event was attended by staff from the Faculty of Materials Engineering at the Silesian University of Technology: Prof. Janusz Adamiec - Vice-Dean for Cooperation and Development, Prof. Tomasz Merder, Katarzyna Łyczkowska, PhD, Prof. Mariola Saternus, and student Wojciech Kubowicz from the Faculty of Industrial Informatics The audience was presented with virtual welding, a differential drive robot controlled by a mobile phone, and a metal knowledge game. Our stand was very popular thanks to the great commitment of our employees.
