Department of Industrial Informatics

On 27.04.2023 at nine o'clock, in our Department was another meeting of the Program Council of field of study of Industry Informatics. The main topic of meeting was assessment of realization of education program at first as well second degree of Industry Informatics Study.

At the meeting were represents of the following componies and institutions: Rockwell Automation, ALSTOM ZWUS Katowice, COMARCH S.A., Kamsoft S.A., Sieć Badawcza Łukasiewicz – Instytut Technik Innowacyjnych EMAG, VIX Automation i SR Robotics and emplyees of our Department: prof. dr hab. Tadeusz Wieczorek, dr hab. inż. Albert Smalcerz, prof. PŚ, dr hab. inż. Marcin Blachnik i dr inż. Joanna Lisok.

The goal of Program Council is education process formmating of students of Industrial Informatics study, so as to the graduate's qualifications best meet the needs of the economy and requirements of future employers. The Council co-create the education program and co-decides about student interships and the engeenering projects and diploma thesis topics. The main task of Council is annual assessment of achievement of the formulated education objectives.

During the Council meeting the following topics were covered:

• Presentation nad discussion about comments, opinions and change propositions for education programs of practical profile as well as general academic profile, which was reported by Members of the Council
• Consultation about update of content provided to students in the Industry Informatics study of various specialisations.
• Discussion about possibilities of our studends 6-month interships with presentations of comments and experiences by Members of the Council about recently completed interships.
• Making proposals of engineering procjects and diploma thesis topics.
• Other matters raised by Members of the Council.

The second part of the meeting was in CBC Hall and was opened for students. The meeting was open, i.e. the companies presented the specification of their activities and then the students could asking about possibilities of interships and future work.
