Faculty of Biomedical Engineering

We are proud to announce that the Silesian University of Technology has signed a cooperation agreement with the Central Forensic Laboratory of the Police (CLKP). This partnership will link our academic knowledge even more closely with the invaluable experience of practitioners.

What does this agreement mean in practice for our students?
Thanks to this partnership, academic knowledge will be underpinned by real-world experience. Students of the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering will gain access to unique opportunities, such as:

- Work placements and study visits to the professional facilities of the Central Forensic Laboratory.
- Joint research projects carried out side by side with forensic experts.
- Seminars and workshops with leading experts and practitioners in their field.
- Collaboration with academic societies and the prospect of writing engineering theses in collaboration with the CLKP.

The Engineering Technologies in Forensic Science programme at the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering is one of the few courses in Poland that leads to an engineering degree in this field. Thanks to this new partnership, our students will be even better prepared to develop modern solutions that support the detection and combating of crime.
