Medals for distinguished employees of the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering
We are pleased to inform you that the President of the Republic of Poland awarded the Medals for Long Service to four employees of the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering:
- prof. dr hab. inż. Wojciech Wolański (Silver Medal for Long Service),
- dr hab. inż. Marcin Basiaga, prof. PŚ (Bronze Medal for Long Service),
- dr hab. inż. Joanna Czajkowska, prof. PŚ (Bronze Medal for Long Service),
- dr Jan Juszczyk (Bronze Medal for Long Service).
The Medal for Long Service is a civilian decoration with a history dating back to the Second Polish Republic (1938) awarded for exemplary, exceptionally conscientious performance of duties resulting from professional work in the service of the State. The medals were presented by the Rector of the Silesian University of Technology, prof. dr hab. inż. Marek Pawełczyk, during the ceremony on May 26, 2025.
