Information and procedure:
In connection with the participation of the Silesian University of Technology in the programme Excellence Initiative - Research University, the pro-quality programme for investment in the development of internationalisation has been launched (see the Ordinance No. 189/2022).
Objective of the programme:
To stimulate the activity of the University community in order to significantly increase the level of internationalisation.
Who is the programme for:
- basic units and their internal units;
- general academic units;
- employees, doctoral students and students of the Silesian University of Technology.
Support:
Under the above-mentioned programme, it is possible to grant funding in the form of an increase in subvention from the Initiative for Excellence - Research University (IDUB) programme, a grant, a cost reimbursement, a salary supplement or a salary awarded on the basis of a civil law contract.
Application procedure:
The applicant downloads the form to be edited in MS Word, appropriate to the given activity (Annex 1, Annex 2, Annex 3), fills in the application (except for the application number given by the International Relations Office) and prints it for signing by the head of the unit.The signature of the head of the unit on the application confirms that the activity, for which the applicant is applying for funding has been verified.
The printed and signed application should be submitted to the International Relations Office (RN3).
In the case of activity no. 9 (running a website in English of a unit, POB or administrative unit, influencing the development of internationalisation with current updating of content throughout the calendar year) a separate application template is used (Annex 2).
Applications are accepted continuously, except for activities 1 and 2 (see the Ordinance No. 189/2022). Applications are assessed by a committee composed of: Vice-Rector for Science and Development, Head of the Development Office, Head of the International Relations Office. The Rector shall make a decision on granting support within the available resources within 30 days from the date of submitting the application, taking into account the opinion of the Committee.
