The Department of Industrial Computer Science derives from the Department of Electrotechnology (established in 2000) headed from the beginning by prof. Czesław Sajdak, then by prof. Krzysztof Kurek, then by prof. Tadeusz Wieczorek. In 2009. it was transformed into the Department of Management and IT (headed by Prof. T. Wieczorek), which in 2013 was transformed into the present Department of Industrial Computer Science (headed by Prof. T. Wieczorek). Currently, the Department of Industrial Computer Science has 17 employees, including 6 professors and 6 doctoral students. In terms of didactics, the activity of the Department focuses on leading the field of Industrial Computer Science.
