On June 19, 2026, an anniversary ceremony took place within the Faculty of Architecture, Building X, to mark the 20th anniversary of the work of visual artists associated with the Gliwice-Zabrze Branch of the Association of Polish Artists and Designers (ZPAP). The anniversary, which gathered numerous guests and representatives of the artistic community, provided an opportunity for both shared celebration and the presentation of the artistic achievements of the Branch members.

At the request of the ZPAP Executive Board, Professor Jacek Joostberens was awarded the Gloria Artis Medal for Merit to Culture, awarded by Marta Cienkowska, Secretary of State in the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. The award was presented by Adam Zaczkowski, First Deputy Voivode of Silesia. The laudation preceding the medal presentation ceremony was delivered by Urszula Święcicka, President of the ZPAP Executive Board. Anna Zawisza-Kubicka, President of the Gliwice-Zabrze Branch of the Polish Artists and Design Association (ZPAP), was responsible for preparing the exhibition and organizing the ceremony.
On behalf of His Magnificence, the Rector of the Silesian University of Technology, Professor Marek Pawełczyk, a congratulatory letter was read by the Dean of the Faculty of Architecture, Professor Tomasz Bradecki. Congratulations were also conveyed by the Dean of the Faculty of Law and Social Communication at SWPS University in Wrocław, Professor Igor Borkowski, to the head of the Graphic Arts program, Professor Mariusz Wszołek.
The ceremony highlighted the importance of the Gliwice-Zabrze Branch of the Polish Artists and Design Association (ZPAP) for the development and promotion of visual arts and recognized the achievements of its members and their contribution to the cultural life of the region.
