On Tuesday (May 12th), an exhibition of student projects developed as part of a competition organized during the Conservation Design course at the RAr-3 Department during the first semester of the Master's degree program (winter semester 2025/26) opened in San Vittore del Lazio (Italy). The competition closed on February 9th (link to detailed information in the comments).

During the open event, held in the medieval church of San Nicola, Professor of Architecture Magdalena Żmudzińska-Nowak presented the history and course of cooperation between the municipality of San Vittore del Lazio and the Silesian University of Technology and the University of Cassino and Southern Lazio, as well as the principles of the competition.

Special thanks were extended to Professor Assunta Pelliccio and Professor Marco Saccucci from the University of Cassino, and Dr. Livio Casoni (San Vittote del Lazio), architect Monica Campione, and architect Francesco de Angelis (Ordine Architetti Pianificatori Paesaggisti Conservatori di Frosinone) for their invaluable assistance in conducting research, organizing the competition, and serving on the jury.

The winning designs for both competition themes were then presented:
- Eng. Arch. Kinga Siemińska, Eng. Arch. Natalia Jagielska (in the category: "San Vittore del Lazio heritage site context design of valorization, conservation, and exposition of cultural and architectural values ​​of the old town"). Project supervisor: Dr. Eng. Arch. Karolina Chodura.
- Eng. Arch. Martyna Kuberska, Eng. Architect Krzysztof Braszczok (in the category: "Ruins of Santa Croce church in San Vittore del Lazio – concept design of conservation and adaptation of the church ruins for a new function highlighting cultural values"). Project supervisor: Dr. Eng. Arch. Jakub Bródka.

This collaboration is carried out under an agreement between the Silesian University of Technology and the municipality of San Vittore del Lazio, led by Nadia Bucci (Mayor of the municipality of San Vittore del Lazio) and Professor of Architecture Magdalena Żmudzińska-Nowak (Faculty of Architecture, Head of the RAr-3 Department).
