On April 17-18, 2026, the next edition of the archiDREAM Silesia Multi-Conference took place at the Faculty of Architecture of the Silesian University of Technology.

On April 17-18, 2026, the Faculty of Architecture of the Silesian University of Technology hosted the next edition of the archiDREAM Silesia Multi-Conference, bringing together approximately 200 scientists and experts from numerous national and international research centers and public institutions. This year's edition is a unique, broad-based event, combining not only scientific discussion but also the presentation of collaborative efforts with the community and educational activities. Eleven scientific sessions addressed the challenges facing contemporary architecture and urban planning stemming from the effects of climate change and globalization. Research findings, tools, and modern digital technologies were presented, enabling both the protection of architectural heritage and the simulation of the future built environment. Discussions also focused on issues related to social aspects of architecture, design that fosters social inclusion, and the health-promoting potential of urban spaces and architecture. The importance of visual arts in urban spaces was also a key theme, presenting reflections on the intersection of architectural design and the fine arts, and the role of this synergy in shaping contemporary public spaces and architectural interiors. The opening lecture was delivered by Professor Jelena Ristić Trajković from the Faculty of Architecture, University of Belgrade. All sessions were attended by invited guests – scientists from numerous international research centers, including the University of Belgrade, the University of Bologna, the University of Hasselt, Pennsylvania State University, the Polytechnic University of Milan, the Technical University of Dortmund, and the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya in Barcelona.

The multi-conference was accompanied by a debate entitled "The GZM Metropolis: Visions of the Future, Opportunities, and Tools for Improving the Quality of Life of Its Residents," with the participation of invited guests. The debate was moderated by Professor Agata Twardoch, a Gliwice urban planner and professor at the Faculty of Architecture. We also hosted the authors of the accompanying exhibitions: Professor Sławomir Gzell from the Warsaw University of Technology and professors from the University of Pristina (Kosovo): Xhevdet Pantina's series "Images in Depth" and Suad Rama's exhibition "00..." were very interesting artistic expressions.

The multi-conference was co-organized with the Polish Academy of Sciences, in partnership with the Marshal's Office of the Silesian Voivodeship. Our activities were supported by ROCKWOOL.
