A RECORD OF THE EXPECTED FUTURE OF THE CITIES: URBAN PLANNING CONTESTS FROM HALF A CENTURY AGO
Faculty of Architecture of the SUT invites to visit the exhibition by Prof. Phd. Dsc. Eng. Arch. Sławomir GZELL. Born in 1946. He graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at the Warsaw University of Technology (1969), where he subsequently worked for many years (holding the academic title of Professor since 1996). Since 1990, he has run his own design studio, specializing in urban planning projects. Author and editor of numerous academic publications on urban planning and architectural design.
Title of the exhibition: A RECORD OF THE EXPECTED FUTURE OF THE CITIES: URBAN PLANNING CONTESTS FROM HALF A CENTURY AGO. Aim of the exhibition: to present competitions entries in which, 50 years ago, design decisions were made – then considered innovative, and since then rediscovered time and again.
