On April 25, 2025, a panel discussion entitled LARGE PLATE – WHAT'S NEXT? was held at the MCK Katowice during the European Economic Congress.

The discussion was attended by:
· Tomasz Bradecki – Dean, Faculty of Architecture, Department of Urban and Spatial Planning, Silesian University of Technology,
· Marek Chrobak – Chairman of the Main Board, Association of Polish Architects,
· Michał Kucia – Department of International Management, University of Economics in Katowice,
· Maciej Malinowski – Member of the Board, Fala Renowacji Association,
· Izabela Metel – Chairman of the Board, Bytów Housing Cooperative,
· Krystyna Piasecka – Chairman of the Board, Katowice Housing Cooperative.

The panel covered the following issues:
Quality, condition and durability of multi-family buildings that are several decades old as a social challenge, but also an opportunity. 4 million large-panel buildings: the national housing stock and the energy revolution in construction. The scale of revitalization and thermal modernization needs and estimated costs versus the financial capabilities of cooperatives and communities, as well as the potential of the construction market. How much time do we have? New technologies and materials, sources of financing and support, investment, reconstruction and revitalization models, experiences of Western European countries.
