Architecture students' project awarded in US competition!
Julia Lesiak, Katarzyna Obcięty and Magdalena Maciąg, students of the Faculty of Architecture of the Silesian University of Technology, won third place in the prestigious, international urban design competition 2025 Edmund N. Bacon Urban Design Awards, organized in Philadelphia!
The "IMPLANT" project fills the missing part of the city, harmoniously fitting into its existing context. The competition jury appreciated its ecological and sustainable approach, which opens new perspectives for future urban planning.
Last week, the official awards gala took place, in which our students personally participated.

The project, which brought the students this distinction, was created under the supervision of Dr. Hab. Eng. Arch. Szymon Opania, prof. PŚ.
