On 23-24.01.2025, another edition of the 4DD fair took place at the MCK Katowice. As the Organizers write on their website: 4DD 4 Design Days is a great celebration of architecture and design. This is not just another fair. The aim is to create the best platform for exchanging business experiences and opinions.

As every year, the Faculty of Architecture of the Silesian University of Technology also participates in the event. This year, two stands were organized - 1) an exhibition of works carried out in the RAr2 Department entitled: Steam Locomotive Depot Zone - Multimodal Ecological Center. The concept of a multifunctional service and communication structure based on the facilities of the former steam locomotive depot in Katowice; 2) an exhibition of models of design works carried out at the Faculty of Architecture of the Silesian University of Technology. Organizer of the exhibitions: Dr. Hab. Eng. Arch. B. Kucharczyk-Brus, WA "TRÅD Studio" scientific group.

Employees of the Faculty of Architecture also took part in numerous plenary sessions. The thematic discussion panels were attended by the current and former Dean of our Faculty: Dr. Hab. Eng. Arch. Tomasz Bradecki, prof. PŚ and Dr. Hab. Eng. Arch. Klaudiusz Fross, prof. PŚ. Students of WA had the opportunity to listen to a lecture on circular architecture by one of the 4DD speakers - Hans Hammink, professor at the Academy of Architecture in Amsterdam - on-site, in Gliwice, in the building at ul. M. Strzody 10.
