Success follows success! A student of the Silesian University of Technology won the Climathon GZM
Wiktor Szwejczewski, a second-cycle student of architecture at the Faculty of Architecture of the Silesian University of Technology, thanks to the project "Green - common good", prepared together with colleagues from the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice, took first place in the Climathon GZM. Upper Silesian-Zagłębie Metropolis.
- Most schools usually have a piece of lawn suitable for development into a garden. Let's imagine that we devote one or two science lessons to "creating" a garden from scratch, and then after a year we harvest our own crops from it. We want to start shaping pro-ecological behaviors focused on greenery as early as possible - explains the winner of the Climathon.
Wiktor admits that his friend, with whom they had already undertaken various projects many times, persuaded him to participate in the competition and join the team. As he admits, they did not expect to win the competition at all.
- Many teams took part in the competition, which proposed very creative and interesting solutions. We are even more pleased that our work has been assessed so positively – he sums up.
