Student Natalia Ściora returned from the M2.24, PEGASUS space mission
Our student Natalia Ściora completed a 2-week international analog space mission M2.24, Pegasus in the LunAres space habitat. The PANDA, SIRIUS, WENINGER, SANTANDER (Spain), PEGASUS missions in space habitats were carried out as part of the Space Architecture Research Project under the supervision of Prof. World Cup Klaudiusz Fross (since 2017). The missions were financed from BK funds, the dean's reserve and sponsors. Participation in the PEGASUS mission was financed by His Rector of the University of Silesia.
“The Space Architecture Research Program under my supervision is already 7 years old. A lot has happened during this time. Many students had the opportunity to participate in missions and become analog astronauts. In subsequent missions, our students in international teams, apart from routine tasks, conducted additional qualitative research according to a previously established research program, and then submitted reports on their implementation. The PEGASUS mission was different from others in that for the first time the team included a disabled person in a wheelchair. ... It is also worth mentioning the recently completed 3-month research internship of our PhD student, Wiktoria Dziaduła, in Houston, USA, where she was exposed to the great world of space research. ... I also had the pleasure of awarding diplomas to distinguished students of the Academic Secondary School in the competition for a base on Mars.”
