On January 18, Dean Prof. World Cup Klaudiusz Fross participated in the New Year's meeting of the Regional Foundation for Aid to the Blind in Chorzów. The meeting was attended by, among others: President Norbert Galla, vice-president dr hab. engineer Joachim Otte, M.Eng. Tadeusz Sopata (ŚOIIB), Wiesław Olszewski, M.A., mayor of the Zbrosławice commune. The Faculty of Architecture has been conducting research in the field of universal design for years, taking into account the needs of blind and visually impaired people. An adaptive training path has been built that allows you to test and improve your ability to navigate in an environment of many obstacles. It is also worth mentioning that Vice-Dean prof. PŚ Katarzyna Ujma-Wąsowicz and Dean Prof. World Cup Klaudiusz Fross were awarded the "Friend of the Blind" badge.

To properly understand universal design, you should conduct pre-design research with the participation of people with various disabilities, as well as test devices and equipment dedicated to this group of users yourself. The faculty is equipped with appropriate research equipment, including: with wheelchairs, glasses for visual impairments and other necessary elements. It is good that during teaching classes students can experience and better understand the needs of people with disabilities.
