GALA OF THE UPPER SILESIAN AVIATION SOCIETY
On February 23, a gala summarizing the year 2023 was held at Katowice Airport. During the Gala, Dean Prof. World Cup Klaudiusz Fross presented President Artur Tomasik with a statuette and distinction for his unique creative passion in the reconstruction and expansion of the Katowice Airport, and thus for his contribution to the development of architecture, construction, design and urban planning. This distinction from the architectural and academic community was highly deserved, as the contribution of the President of GTL to the development of the airport and the region is significant. At the same time, the Silesian University of Technology received a statuette with the GTL logo also for its contribution to the development of aviation and the new Aviation Training Center at the Gliwice airport. The PŚ facility consists of two modern aircraft hangars and a teaching facility with an observation deck on the roof. The University of Technology already has 5 of its own planes.
