Extreme landscape architecture
Welcome to the Institute. Wojciech Korfanty in Katowice for a lecture from the History for Good Morning series entitled "Extreme landscape architecture". The guest of the Institute will be Dr. Hab. engineer arch. Jadwiga Środulska-Wielgus, professor at the Krakow University of Technology, associated with the Department of Landscape Architecture at the Faculty of Architecture. Professor Środulska-Wielgus has been dealing with military architecture and its role in the landscape for years. In 2003, she received the award of the General Conservator of Monuments for the project of revalorization of Bastion III - Kleparz fort in Krakow. Her habilitation thesis (2016) concerned cultural tourism and its role as a tool for protecting and making available the fortified landscape. Professor Środulska-Wielgus is also a member of the PKN ICOMOS Military Architecture Committee.
The lecture will take place on May 20 this year. at. 11:00 at the headquarters of the Institute. Wojciech Korfanty at ul. Teatralna 4 in Katowice, conference room, 1st floor. Free entrance.
