A graduate of the Faculty of Architecture awarded in the ICOMOS Competition
A graduate of the Faculty of Architecture of the Silesian University of Technology, M.Sc. Eng. arch. Jadwiga Małecka-Fick received distinction in the PKN ICOMOS International Competition. Professor Jan Zachwatowicz for the best diploma theses of university students dealing with the issue of cultural heritage protection in 2024.
Featured work "Border. Building a culture of dialogue in the context of borders and divisions. “The project of dialogue-creating landscape interventions together with the dialogue house on the Makoszowy heap” was defended at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Silesia in May 2023.
The supervisor of the work is Dr. Eng. arch. Karolina Chodura.
The award ceremony took place on May 13, 2024 at the Royal Łazienki Park in Warsaw. 47 works were submitted to the competition.
The founders of the award are Mr. and Mrs. Krystyna Zachwatowicz-Wajda and the late. Andrzej Wajda and the General Conservator of Monuments of the Republic of Poland.
