We cordially invite you to a joint academic seminar organized by Priority Research Area 6, the Department of Mining, Safety Engineering, and Industrial Automation, and the Department of Geotechnical Engineering and Mineral Resources Exploitation.
The seminar will take place on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 12:00 PM in Room 503. The event will be held in a hybrid format.
The seminar program includes two presentations:
- Dr. Zuhriddin Latipov, Associate Professor, Karshi State Technical University, Uzbekistan,
paper title: “Current Developments and Future Perspectives of the Mining Industry in Uzbekistan”.
- Xuechang Chen, Shandong University of Science and Technology, China, currently completing a one-year internship at the Department of Geotechnical Engineering and Mineral Resources Exploitation, presentation title: “Characterization of Nanoscale Pores and the Distribution of Injected Water in Coal Using Cryo-FIB-SEM”.
