POB6. Cooperation of the Silesian University of Technology with PGNiG Group and Institute for Chemical Processing of Coal in the field of energy in the Strategic Programme of Scientific Research and Development Works of NCBiR.

We are pleased to announce that the project entitled: "System for production of hydrogen and synthetic natural gas with functionality in the field of production and storage of electric energy" (acronym "Hy-Chess") has received funding under the 1st Competition "New technologies in the field of energy" in the Strategic Programme of Scientific Research and Development Works of the Polish National Centre for Research and Development.

The leader of the project is PGNiG Capital Group.

The consortium also includes the Silesian University of Technology and the Institute for Chemical Processing of Coal.

An exceptional reason for us to be proud is the fact that the concept of the system to be presented in the project is the subject of a patent pending by Prof. Łukasz Bartela (coordinator of Sub-area POB6.9 Energy storage and hydrogen energy) and Prof. Anna Skorek-Osikowska. They also participated in the formulation of the "Project proposal", which received the highest evaluation by experts from the Polish National Centre for Research and Development. Professor Skorek-Osikowska will act as the R&D Manager in the project. The total budget of the project is 57,119,733.81 PLN and the amount of funding is 34,326,802.56 PLN.

A press release on obtaining funding was published on the website of the Project Leader, PGNiG Capital Group.

We would like to congratulate the whole team involved in the preparation of the application and wish them good luck with the implementation of the project!
