About conference
On 15 and 16 April, from 12:00 to 17:00, the 1st International Conference "Priority Areas of the Silesian University of Technology - achievements and challenges" will be held, devoted to the implementation of the most important initiatives for the economy and society, as well as world science.
During the two days of the event, participants will discuss key research topics related to the university's third mission that has the strongest impact on the economic growth and social welfare of the country and Europe. The issues taken will be focused on priority research areas (POB) selected at the Silesian University of Technology, on which the University intends to focus its development and build a brand:
- POB1: Computational Oncology and Personalized Medicine
- POB2: Artificial Intelligence and Data Processing
- POB3: Materials for the Future
- POB4: Smart cities and future mobility
- POB5: Process Automation and Industry 4.0
- POB6: Climate and environmental protection, modern energy
The addressees of the Conference are both representatives of the academic world, as well as the socio-economic environment: local governments, representatives of business and industry as well as non-governmental organizations. The invited speakers, guests and panellists will include scientists from the Silesian University of Technology, industry authorities, as well as outstanding specialists and researchers from foreign universities.
Due to the ongoing epidemic restrictions, the event will be held remotely via the Zoom platform. In order to confirm your participation, registration is required, which will start on April 6th.
Participation in the conference is free of charge.
