Faculty of Organization and Management

The summary of the concluding academic year 2024/2025 was the main topic of the July meeting of the Social Council of the Faculty of Organization and Management at the Silesian University of Technology.

Professor Aleksandra Kuzior, Dean of the Faculty, presented, among other things, recruitment statistics for the Faculty's study programmes, the scientific achievements of the staff over the past year, as well as research and educational projects carried out with external funding from EU sources. During her presentation, the Dean highlighted various initiatives dedicated to the academic community and the socio-economic environment, such as open lectures from the series "Faces of Business, Science and Politics. Management in Theory and Practice", a competition involving Marcin Prokop for the production of films on sustainable development, as well as student balls and picnics.

“I would like to thank everyone for their work in the Social Council of the Faculty of Organization and Management. I am pleased that thanks to the involvement of many communities, we can enrich the offer for students, employees, and alumni of our Faculty. We are also able to offer a great deal through our research activities and by preparing reports,” emphasized Professor Aleksandra Kuzior.

During the discussion, the issue of new forms of student engagement planned from October this year was addressed. In addition to internships and placements, company representatives proposed practical workshops focused on creatively solving problems related to the economy and social life.

The meeting was held in the unique setting of "Gościniec Zabrzański" thanks to the hospitality and organizational support of Dr. Eng. Marek Staszek, President of DB Cargo Polska SA and Vice-Chairman of the Social Council of the Faculty.
