Faculty of Organization and Management

We are proud to announce that Dr. Paweł Szlęzak, a graduate of doctoral studies at the Silesian University of Technology at the Faculty of Organization and Management, received the Prime Minister's Award for achievements in scientific activity for his outstanding doctoral dissertation “Coopetition model of human capital management in agile projects ".

The dissertation was distinguished for the development and implementation of a coopetition model of human capital management in enterprises that implement projects using an agile approach, which is a significant contribution to the development of the scientific discipline of management and quality science, and in particular to the theory and practice of human resources management in the implementation of complex IT projects, and proves that in a competitive environment, it is worth implementing solutions based on cooperation.

The doctorate supervisor was dr hab. inż Lilla Knop, prof. PŚ, and the assistant supervisor was dr inż. Adam Ryszko.

In recognition of contribution to the development of Polish science, the Prime Minister annually awards prizes in three categories: for an outstanding doctoral thesis, for highly advanced scientific research that meets requirements for the postdoctoral degree and for significant achievements in scientific activity, including artistic or implementation work.

The Prime Minister's Awards were granted for the 31st time. In 2024, 44 people were honored, including one representative of the Silesian University of Technology.

Congratulations to the Laureate and the Supervisors on their exceptional achievement, which confirms the high scientific level of research conducted in the scientific discipline of management and quality science and the commitment to the scientific development of our graduates.
