Welcome Point at the Silesian University of Technology serves as a place for foreign candidates and students, PhD students and academic staff. Welcome Point is responsible for supporting foreigners in all matters related to their arrival and stay in Poland, i.e. accommodation, insurance, needed documents and other forms of social support. Foreigners can also get the assistance in dealing with everyday issues related to life at SUT and in Gliwice. Welcome Point with its motto: “You are more than welcome!” provides a friendly space where you can receive information and feel always welcome!

Welcome Point does not provide legal assistance in matters related to the legalization of stay of foreigners in the territory of the Republic of Poland.
The scope of the office’s activity includes only language assistance in completing applications for a temporary residence permit.

Welcome Point is not responsible for the content, completeness or correctness of any application for a temporary residence permit or any other application submitted by a foreigner.
The sole person responsible for the preparation, submission and conduct of the administrative procedure is the foreigner to whom the application relates.
