Dr. Anna Skorupa, Ph.D., received an ECCOMAS Young Investigators Committee Grant (EYIC Grant). The certificate was presented during the Opening Ceremony of the 17th World Congress on Computational Mechanics & 10th European Congress on Computational Methods in Applied Sciences and Engineering (WCCM-ECCOMAS 2026) on July 20, 2026.

The purpose of the grant is to support young researchers in the fields of computational mechanics and applied mathematics by providing them with the support necessary to launch their research careers.

As part of the grant, Dr. Anna Skorupa, Ph.D., Eng., will carry out a project titled “Mathematical and Numerical Modeling of Viscoelastic Behavior in Porous Materials,” which will focus on the numerical analysis of the viscoelastic behavior of selected porous materials using the finite volume method.
