On July 7-11, 2025, Łódź hosted the 26th International Conference on Computer Methods in Mechanics (CMM) .

As is tradition, our Department was represented by a large group of employees and doctoral students who presented the results of their research.

During the conference, a general meeting of PTMKM members was also held, during which the Society’s awards were presented. They were received by Dr. Witold Ogierman and Dr. Waldemar Mucha in the category of “solutions to problems in the field of mechanics published in journals” in 2024-2025.

Below is a list of papers presented by our employees during this year’s conference:

  • Anna Skorupa, Alicja PiaseckaBelkhayat – Determination of diffusion coefficient during cryopreservation of selected biological tissues
  • Alicja Piasecka-Belkhayat – Application of the boundary element method to numerical modelling of heat transfer in cryopreservation
  • Antoni John, Henryk Bąkowski, Paweł Dudek – Design and strength analysis of a low-cost ambulance stretcher
  • Grzegorz Dziatkiewicz – First-order uncertainty propagation analysis of specific figures of merit for 1-3 magnetoelectroelastic twophase composites using isofield micromechanical models and complex variable step method
