On September 4-7, 2023, an international scientific conference was held in Gliwice, this year combining the following two conferences: 25th International Conference on Computer Methods in Mechanics (CMM) and 5th Polish Congress of Mechanics (PCM).
Traditionally, our Department was represented by a very large number of employees and doctoral students who presented the results of their research work.
During the conference, the presentation of awards of the PCM was also held. This year the award in the category for a textbook, monograph or book on computer methods of mechanics went to:
Tadeusz Burczynski, Maciej Pietrzyk, Waclaw Kuś, Lukasz Madej, Adam Mrozek, Lukasz Rauch, Multiscale Modelling and Optimization of Materials and Structures, Willey, 2022.
Additionally, Maria Zadoń, M.Sc., and Anna Skorupa, M.Sc., received awards in the competition for the Jan Szmelter Award for the best paper presented by a young scientist.
