The ECCOMAS competition for the best PhD thesis defended in 2022 within the PTMKM has been concluded. Like last year, a dissertation created in our Department was awarded. This time, the doctoral thesis of Dr Olaf Popczyk entitled. “Modelling of thermal fields in metamaterials using radial basis function-based meshless methods“, supervised by prof. Grzegorz Dziatkiewicz, was awarded third place in the ECCOMAS (European Community on Computational Methods in Applied Sciences) competition for the best doctoral thesis defended in 2022 within the framework of the PTMKM (Polish Society for Computational Methods in Mechanics).
The results of the research included in the PhD were published in high-scoring scientific journals, among others in: International Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer (200pts according to MNiSW).
