Scientists from the Department of Engineering and Biomedical Materials, MSc. Katarzyna Młynarek-Żak and dr hab. Eng. Rafał Babilas, prof. In February, scientists from the Silesian University of Technology visited the Budapest Neutron Center (www.bnc.hu) as part of research on the structure of amorphous and nanocrystalline Al-Ni-Fe-Y aluminum alloys using a neutron beam. The stay was related to the measurement time granted in accordance with the BRR-710 application "Structural characterization of newly developed amorphous and nanocrystalline Al-Ni-Fe-Y alloys with lower aluminum content". The visit included preparation of samples for neutron measurements, conducting measurements and scientific consultations with diffraction line operators. The scope of the research was related to the implementation of the OPUS 2018/29/B/ST8/02264 project.
