Courses Of Study

The Department of Engineering and Biomedical Materials of the Silesian University of Technology participates in the process of educating students of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Silesian University of Technology in all fields of study, in accordance with the European flexible three-cycle system of university studies (the so-called “Bologna Charter”) for:

  • stationary (daytime) and part-time (extramural):
    • 3.5-year first-cycle studies (engineering) – for graduates of upper secondary schools with a secondary school-leaving certificate or a secondary school-leaving certificate,
  • stationary (daytime) or part-time (extramural)
    • 1.5-year second-cycle (Master’s) studies  – for people with a professional title of engineer in a given field or related fields,
  • full-time (full-time) or part-time (extramural) 4-year third-cycle studies (doctoral studies) in the scientific discipline Materials Engineering including Nanotechnology and Computer Materials Science – for graduates of Master’s studies
