On April 24, 2024, the results of the competition for V4 Gen Mini Grants under the International Visegrad Foundation were announced. 161 projects were submitted to the competition, 39 of which received funding.

The winner of the competition was the project submitted by prof. Mirosław Bonek regarding ecological laser technology for material processing. The project participants will be 30 students from the University of Zilina in Slovakia and the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice. Students will meet at joint scientific seminars in Gliwice, Poland (talentdetector.polsl.pl) and in Zilina, Slovakia. The application was prepared as part of the activities of the Association of Alumni of the Silesian University of Technology.
