The importance of research on new materials for the industry of the future – expert discussion during InterNanoPoland 2025
This year's InterNanoPoland 2025 included a panel discussion entitled "The Importance of Research on New Materials for the Development of Future Industries," co-organized with the Cracow University of Technology. Professor Anna Janina Dolata represented our faculty. During the meeting, experts in materials science and technology commercialization discussed the growing role of material innovations in the transformation of modern industry. It was emphasized that progress in research on new materials—from nanomaterials to advanced engineering solutions—is key to the development of efficient, sustainable, and competitive technologies. Their application is fundamental in sectors such as energy, transportation, electronics, medicine, and space technology. The panel discussed:
the role of research into new materials in accelerating industrial transformation,
practical mechanisms for transferring knowledge and technology to the economy,
and the barriers that continue to hinder the implementation of innovation in Poland and globally.
The panel provided an important platform for the exchange of experiences between the scientific community and the industrial sector, emphasizing the need for collaboration and investment in research into materials of the future.
