Metallurgist's Day 2025 – Scientific Inspirations and Alumni Meeting at the Silesian University of Technology
The Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering of the Silesian University of Technology cordially invites you to a special day of science, innovation, and connection between the metallurgical and materials communities – Metallurgist's Day 2025, which will take place on Friday, May 23, 2025, at the Katowice City Hall at 8 Krasińskiego Street.
The celebrations will begin at 1:00 PM in the CBD Auditorium, where a scientific seminar entitled "Materials, Technologies, Processes – Good Practices, Innovations" will be held. Speakers from universities, industry, and cultural institutions will be invited to present current issues in materials technology and accessible production. Among the available devices are innovations in railway rail production, best practices in metalworking, and the role of technical museums in integrating the user environment.
The 49th Alumni Meeting of the Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering will be held on the day, at 1:00 PM. 4:00 PM in the Technology Hall.
The Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Krzysztof Nowacki, PhD, DSc, Eng., and the President of the Alumni Association, Magdalena B. Jabłońska, PhD, DSc, Eng., will be present with all alumni at the annual meeting. The presentation will feature a performance by the Academic Dance Ensemble "Dąbrowiacy," and music will be provided by a DJ. The gathering will not only be a time for reminiscing but also for establishing new professional and career connections.
