Metallurgist's Day 2025 - a day full of inspiration and memories at the Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering of the Silesian University of Technology
On May 23, 2025, the Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering at the Silesian University of Technology hosted a unique event – the 2025 Metallurgist's Day. The day was filled with excitement, inspiring speeches, and joyful gatherings, creating a unique atmosphere of celebration and community.
The ceremony began with the Scientific Seminar "Materials, Technologies, Processes – Good Practices, Innovations," during which speakers representing the scientific, industrial, and cultural communities shared their knowledge and experience.
The highlight of the day was the 49th Alumni Reunion – an event that gathered former students of the faculty in the Technology Hall, bringing with it a wealth of emotions, memories, heartfelt conversations, and laughter. Also participating in the celebration was the Vice-Rector for Science and International Cooperation, Prof. Sebastian Werle, PhD, DSc, Eng., who celebrated this special day with the academic community. The exceptional nature of the event was highlighted by a performance by the Academic Dance Ensemble "Dąbrowiacy" and an energetic DJ, which created a joyful and danceable atmosphere for the ceremony.
