A PhD Student from Our Department Receives a START FNP Scholarship
Four young scientists from the Silesian University of Technology were among the laureates of the START program organized by the Foundation for Polish Science. The scholarship award ceremony took place on June 13, 2026, at the Wawel Royal Castle in Kraków.
We are pleased to announce that among this year’s laureates is Łukasz Jakubski, M.Sc. (Eng.), a PhD student working on his dissertation in our Department.
Łukasz Jakubski, M.Sc. (Eng.), is conducting research on polymer membranes containing magnetic powders, which are used for pervaporation dehydration of ethanol in the sustainable production of biofuels. He is currently developing an innovative method for their production using an external magnetic field, which allows for the control of the structure and properties of the resulting materials.
We warmly congratulate Łukasz Jakubski, M.Sc. (Eng.), on this prestigious award and wish him further scientific success.
