We are very proud to announce that Sebastian Górecki (Chemical Technology) and Sonia Wardejn (Biotechnology), students carrying out their research projects at our Faculty, have been awarded a scholarship by the Minister of Science and Higher Education for significant achievements in the academic year 2025/2026.
Sebastian Górecki conducts research at the Department of Organic Chemical Technology and Petrochemistry under the supervision of Prof. Agnieszka Kudelko, focusing on the synthesis and characterization of new azo compounds containing heterocyclic systems.
Sonia Wardejn characterizes the release kinetics of active substances from drug delivery systems under the supervision of Dr. Katarzyna Niesyto at the Department of Physical Chemistry and Polymer Technology. Previously, her supervisor was Dr. Gabriela Dudek, a professor at the Silesian University of Technology. This year's application process received 1,155 applications that met the formal requirements, of which only 402 students from across Poland were selected.
The winners received a scholarship of PLN 17,000, recognizing their achievements to date and the potential for further scientific development.
