On October 21, 2025, the fifth edition of the "Politechnika Project" was summarized.

During the poster session, the projects and their results were presented, and a team of experts selected the best ones.

Among the awarded projects, the expert committee recognized two projects supervised by scientists from our Department. These are the following:

1. Project title: Od natury do technologii - biodegradowalne folie i membrany wytwarzane z polimerów naturalnych.

Authors: Michał Kijas, Bartosz Szyman, Milena Sondel, Frycz Modrzewski High School No. 2 in Rybnik

Scientific supervisor of the project: dr hab. inż. Gabriela Dudek, prof. PŚ

Assistant scientific supervisors: Justyna Jakubska, Łukasz Jakubski

2. Project title: Przyjazne środowisku formulacje mas opóźniających -rozpoznanie właściwości

Authors: Agata Stolarczyk, Maja Nos, Agata Gała from the 1st High School in Bytom

Project supervisor: dr hab. inż. Przemysław Ledwoń, prof. PŚ

The Technical University Project is a unique and increasingly popular program that involves secondary school students in scientific research. The young people work in the laboratories of the Silesian University of Technology, benefiting not only from the rich infrastructure, but also from the substantive support of supervisors from the University. The students carry out projects that respond to current challenges and problems, and in doing so, they also learn about the Project Based Learning method, in which the Silesian University of Technology is a leader in Poland.
