Special award from EURECA-PRO at the 4th edition of the “Politechnika Project”
On 6 March 2025, the fourth edition of the “Politechnika Project” took place at the Silesian University of Technology's Education and Congress Centre. 85 project teams from 36 secondary schools presented themselves. The aim of the programme is to involve students in scientific research and to attract the best candidates for studies. Students, under the supervision of scientists, in the laboratories of the University carry out projects. Their topics cover all priority research areas of the Silesian University of Technology.
The students' work was assessed by a team of experts, who then awarded the outstanding projects.
A special prize from EURECA-PRO was awarded to the project team: Dawid Kuczera, Dorota Dudek, Zofia Prostacka from the Ursuline Schools in Rybnik for the presentation of the project entitled ‘Packaging of the future - obtaining and studying the physical and chemical properties of chitosan films containing plant extracts’, supervised by Gabriela Dudek, PhD, Professor of Silesian University of Technology and Agata Wawoczny, M.Sc.
