Department Representatives at ESHG 2026 in Gothenburg

On 13-16 June 2026, two members of our Department participated in the 59th European Human Genetics Conference, ESHG 2026, held in Gothenburg, Sweden.

ESHG is one of the key European meetings in the field of human genetics, bringing together researchers, clinicians, diagnosticians, and experts working at the interface of genomics, molecular diagnostics, bioinformatics, public health, ethics, and clinical practice. During the conference, our Department’s representatives presented two posters:

  • Prof. Joanna Polanska, DSc, PhD, Eng.: “Multi-model association testing improves detection of genetic effects”
  • Aleksandra Suwalska, PhD, Eng.: “Pilot study of a novel gene scoring system for classification and enrichment analysis in distal myopathy”

Participation in ESHG 2026 provided an opportunity to present research conducted within our Department, discuss current directions in human genetics and genomic data analysis, and exchange experience with the international scientific community.
