Zmarł prof. Kazimierz Podgórski

23 sierpnia w wieku 82 lat zmarł prof. Kazimierz Podgórski.

Były Zastępca Dyrektora Instytutu Projektowania i Budowy Kopalń Wydziału Górnictwa i Geologii Politechniki Śląskiej. Wybitny naukowiec, wychowawca młodej kadry naukowej oraz wielu pokoleń inżynierów górników. Człowiek o wielkim sercu i życzliwości dla współpracowników i studentów, zawsze wspierający ich swą ogromną wiedzą. Odznaczony m.in. Krzyżem Kawalerskim Orderu Odrodzenia Polski i Medalem Komisji Edukacji Narodowej; Generalny Dyrektor Górniczy I stopnia.

Nabożeństwo żałobne odbędzie się w Katedrze pw. Św. Ap. Piotr i Pawła przy ul. Jana Pawła II 5 w Gliwicach 29 sierpnia o godz. 7:30. Pogrzeb natomiast odbędzie się na gliwickim Cmentarzu Centralnym przy ul. Kozielskiej o godz. 10:00.
