After the holidays, popular science lectures from the cycle “Biomedical engineering around us” return. For this academic year, the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering of the Silesian University of Technology has planned four events. The nearest one will be held on October 24th.
We invite pupils and teachers to participate in lectures from the cycle “Biomedical Engineering around us”, which will take place in the Philips Auditorium at the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering in Zabrze, at 40, Roosevelta Street. The lecture broadcasts will also be available live on YouTube.
The organizers offer the opportunity to learn and listen to lectures presented in accessible language and see modern research laboratories.
Dates of lectures in the current school year:
- 24 October 2024: "Deformities of the chest - watch, cure, live!" (Dr Hab. Eng. Anita Kajzer, Prof of Silesian University of Technology
- 12 December 2024: "Looking for depth - how a computer sees you in space" (Dr Eng. Daniel Ledwoń; lecture as part of the IB Faculty Open Day)
- 13 February 2025: “Design Thinking – think and design with the needs of people with disabilities in mind” (Prof. Dr Hab. Eng. Wojciech Wolański)
- 10 April 2025: “Unused atrophy – physical activity and bone condition” (Dr Hab. Eng. Janusz Szewczenko, Prof. of Silesian University of Technology
