Silesian edition of the Three Minute Thesis® 2025 competition
We invite PhD students of Silesian universities and branches of the Polish Academy of Sciences to the 8th Silesian edition of the three Minute Thesis® competition. Applications can be submitted by October 29th, 2025.
Three Minute Thesis® is a competition for doctoral students who want to face the 3-minute formula of the presentation and present in a simple and transparent way the issues raised in their doctoral thesis. The event is an excellent opportunity to test skills in scientific communication and share scientific passion with recipients outside the academic environment.
The Silesian edition of the competition is open to young scientists from universities and branches of the Polish Academy of Sciences from the Silesian Voivodeship and people pursuing a PhD at the National Institute of Oncology named after M. Skłodowska-Curie in Gliwice. Applications can be submitted via the form on the website: https://www.polsl.pl/rjo7-cpn/rejestracja-three-minute-thesis/
The winners of the competition will receive cash prizes. In addition, the finalists can win an engineering award and an audience award.

ELIMINATION: 15th of November 2025, 10:00, Centre for New Technologies of the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice
FINAL: 28th of November 2025, 18:00, Library of the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice
The competition is held under license from the University of Queensland in Australia. The competition was organized by: Science Popularization Centre, The University Self-Government Council of the Doctoral Students,’ Doctoral School of Silesian University of Technology. The media patronage was taken by the “Science in Poland” service. The patron of the event is EURECA-PRO.
