National competition for popular science article “About science in human terms”
We invite scientists, PhD students and students from scientific units all over Poland to participate in the competition for the popular science article “About science in human terms.” Applications can be submitted by November 24, 2024.
We are launching the next edition of the competition “About science in human terms.” This year, we are increasing its reach – thus, people associated with scientific units throughout Poland can apply in a competition for a popular science article.
The task of scientists, PhD students and students – to whom we direct our project – is to write a popular-science article in a way that is accessible and understandable to a wide audience. They can share with readers their research or interests from many different areas of study.
Participation in the competition should be submitted via the registration form: https://www.polsl.pl/rjo7-cpn/konkurs-o-nauce-po-ludzku/formularz-zgloszeniowy/.
After submitting, you should send an encoded work (the code will be sent in the e-mail confirming the application) to the e-mail address: konkursycpn@polsl.pl the work cannot contain the author's data. Applications can be submitted until 24th of NOVEMBER 2024.
The works will be evaluated by a jury consisting of:

The contest is scheduled for completion in December 2024.

The competition is organized by the Science Popularization Centre of the Silesian University of Technology. The competition is organized in the City-Region-Academy band as part of the European City of Science Katowice 2024.
