Vertical analysis of air using CRDS in tethered balloon
On the 18th and 19th February 2025, employees of the Silesian University of Technology participated in the workshops: "Good practices in the application of tethered balloons during CO2 monitoring classes."
To analyse atmospheric composition variability, we use, among others, analysers based on the CRDS technique. The workshops were conducted by experienced researchers: Dr Hab. Eng. Mirosław Zimnoch, Prof. SUT and Dr Eng. Jakub Bartyzel.
Measurements of the atmosphere took place in an atmospheric laboratory – in a tethered balloon in Krakow. As part of the MONCO2 project, the Institute of Physics - CND of the Silesian University of Technology purchased analysers using the CRDS technique for air analysis.
The MONCO2 project is being implemented at the Institute of Physics – CND of the Silesian University of Technology.
The project “Modern methods of monitoring the level and isotopic composition of atmospheric CO2” is part of the development of innovation and technology, which requires efficient higher education, primarily in terms of raising the quality of the base of higher education institutions, which will provide the possibility of education at the highest level, and will strengthen attractiveness for both Poles and foreigners. Trainings on modern didactic methods will make it possible to learn about good practices used in higher education, it will also be an opportunity for teaching staff and / or doctoral students to present research results on the national and international forums.
