Neuroprotective and neurotropic coatings
We are happy to inform that our research on neuroprotective coatings has been published in Cell Biomaterials. This work advances neural interface design by shifting from passive anti-fouling coatings toward biomimetic materials that actively regulate the peri-electrode microenvironment. By integrating a heparan sulfate mimetic, F6, as a biological dopant within a conducting polymer (PEDOT:PTS), the study introduces a glycomimetic functionalization strategy that couples electrical optimization with biologically instructive signaling.
