Luminescence Laboratory
Currently, the Gliwice luminescence laboratory is the most modern laboratory in Poland offering the highest standards in luminescence dating. Laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art measurement systems that offer unique research opportunities. Laboratory staff welcomes collaboration on grant proposals, experiments and scientific writing.
The luminescence dating laboratory staff particularly welcomes undergraduate and graduate students, post-docs and visiting researchers.
Luminescence measurements
Laboratory specializes in optically stimulated luminescence dating of sediments and archaeological objects. In addition, for some types of materials, laboratory can perform thermoluminescence or single grain optical dating. We provide complex cooperation including but not limited to sample collection, luminescence and dose rate measurement.
Laboratory equipment:
- Risø TL/OSL readers with single grains
- Daybreak OSL/TL readers
- Dark room, chemical laboratory, specialized sampling tools and equipment
