Start - Luminescence Dating Laboratory - Low level radioactivity measurements
Laboratory specializes in low level environmental radionuclides measurements for interdisciplinary research. This includes natural radionuclides from decay 238, 235U, 232Th chains, 40K as well as man maid 137Cs, 241Am or 7Be.
Laboratory equipment:
- HPGe gamma spectrometers with extended ranges (GX) manufactured by Canberra
- μDOSE systems
- Portable gamma spectrometer manufactured by Canberra
- Polarizing metallurgical microscope with top/bottom lights and a digital camera
- Specialized sampling tools and equipment
- Soil core sampler up to 2 m depth with petrol engine
- Mobile Maper 200
- Grain size analyser: MaterSizer 3000 by Malvern Panalytical
