Success for our SStudents! Another edition of AEC Global Teamwork has come to an end
Piotr Palian and Artur Tompór – master Students of the specialty of Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Air Protection – have successfully completed the PBL project, which has been running since January 2023, organized by Stanford University as part of the 30th AEC Global Teamwork program.
Students worked in international teams and, using the latest BIM techniques, designed zero-energy university buildings. In addition to energy efficiency, the designed buildings had to cope with local challenges such as earthquakes, hurricanes, floods, extreme weather conditions, tight construction sites, local regulations and working conditions.
In addition, the team in which Piotr Palian participated won one of the three competitions sponsored by the industry: 17th Sustainability Challenge: SCALABLE SUSTAINABILITY.
Congratulations!!!
AEC Global Teamwork brings together students, faculty and industry practitioners from five disciplines - Architecture, Construction, Building Systems Engineering (MEP), Construction Management (CM) and Lifecycle Financial Management (LCFM). This year, 31 students from Stanford University and 8 partner universities from around the world, representing 18 nationalities, participated in the project. Students were divided into 4 project teams, which consisted of members representing five disciplines.
